My name is Donald and I would like to take a moment to welcome you to my blog. I am new at blogging so please bear with me. I hope you enjoy my blog and thank you for stopping by.
I grew up in Byron, Illinois and that is where I graduated high school as well. A couple of years after high school I got married and moved to Arkansas. Boy is it hot down there!! I raced motocross and taught a motoross school in my spare time. The last couple of years down there I worked full-time on second shift and went to school full-time during the day for heating and air conditioning. I now live in the beautiful State of Wisconsin. I don't have any kids, but I do have four dogs and they make up for not having any kids. I am an HVAC Service Technician and have been for about six years now. I work for Dirks Heating & Cooling in Barron, Wisconsin. I am currently off of work due to an injury. I was leaving a job-site on June 12, 2007 and as I bent down to pick up a bottle of refrigerant, my back went out on me. Don't want to bore you with the details of the everything that has happened since that date, so I will just give you the main things. Since that date I have had three back surgeries. The last one was August 6, 2008, which was a spinal fusion. I have been covered under workers' compensation since the injury, but just received a letter from the workers' compensation insurance company, General Casualty, stating that they had their own Doctor, who has never seen me, go over my medical history on the injury and in his opinion the inury was not work-related so they are denying responsibility for the injury. I have worked for Dirks Heating & Cooling since August 3, 2005, almost two years before the injury without any back problems or any other medical problems for that matter at all and the injury happened at work, but yet they are saying that they are not responsible. So they have cut my weekly benefit amount as well as all medical treatments. Well, I guess that just shows you how much Dirks Heating & Cooling cares about their employees. Oh yeah, and they are supposed to Mennonites. Doesn't seem very christian to me. Well, I guess that is about all for now. I'll update this when I have more to tell.
